Time to prepare

Time to prepare!

It is time again to prepare for the colder months. Strengthen your immune system that colds and coughs don't get a chance. You don't want to go from the "Back-to-school" cold to the "Wet-and-windy-autumn" cold.

There are different possibilities to do that. You can eat lots of vitamin C. This is best done through fruit and vegetables rather than through artificial vitamins because the body finds it easier to absorb vitamins when they are from a natural source. Not only oranges and lemons contain oodles of vitamin C, you will find it in rose hips, sloes and seabuckthorn as well and they taste delicious. Try them as syrups or spreads on muesli and toast.

Another way is cold water washing. Fear not, you don't have to immerse yourself in a tub full of freezing water. You can do, if you do so desire, or just give your arms and legs a cold flush after you have had a shower.

If even that is too much for you do it like I do: Every morning, and every night just before I go to bed I rinse my face with cold water till I get that little kick of saliva in my mouth.
You can get the shower head off the hose to do it or just use your hands to splash loads of cold water into your face. The rule is: The "warmer" the cold water is the longer you need to do it.

If that is too much for you, you can use Homoeopathy to strengthen your immune system. This is simple and easy. You come and see me and I take your case. I match your symptoms to a homoeopathic medicine and give it to you.

For example there are homoeopathic medicines that help when your sore throat always goes into your chest, when you cannot get rid of a cough after a cold or if you have to have every cold which is going round. Whatever the problem is, with over 3500 homoeopathic medicines Homoeopathy has always an answer.

Give it a go and enjoy the autumn.
