The small universe

Under The Microscope

There is a whole garden in a mustard seed. A whole tree in an apple pip. I have grown trees from tiny seeds. The seed just needs water, soil and light to grow. It needs sunshine for food and will need wind for fertilisation.

So what will happen when the seed is grown on racks in dark cellars under artificial light and sprayed with a nutritious solution? Will there be the same nutritional value in the plant, the same nutritional value for the person eating the plant? I don't think so, but I don't know about this. I do know that there would not be the same soil bacteria on the plant as if had been grown in soil in open air, preferably organically or wild.

Fact is that we as human beings need soil bacteria in our guts to stay healthy. In the old days we used to get these bacterium from the well water we used to drink. We do not drink well water anymore and I do not know how safe that would be nowadays. Our biome, as our environment in our guts is known, is very important. It is crucial to our health that this environment is populated by good bacteria, than they can deal with all the baddies. Our gut is not only the centre of our immune system, it is sometimes referred to as our second brain.

So keeping you gut well stocked with good bacteria is fundamental to your health. This can be achieved by eating fermented foods like kefir or sauerkraut, avoiding sugar as much as possible and having a good diet in general. A good diet means something different for every person because every person is an individual with individual needs. This is the same in Homoeopathy. Every person is different and requires a different approach. On top of that there is a group of homoeopathic remedies which can restore the good environment in your gut and therefore help  with returning you to health. So there's no need to get out into the garden and eat mud, just come and see me.
