Come to the garden

The Joy Of The Garden

There is not much to do in the house once you've cleared and tidied every cupboard and washed every floor during the lock down. If you have a garden, you will know that you are never finished in the garden. With plenty of time on your hands, the lovely weather and queues in front of the shops and shortages of food, you might have decided to grow your own this year in the garden. It is so gratifying to see the seeds you've sown sprout and grow into little plants which will become your supper or lunch on your plate in the future. But what if? What if the slugs find your tender salad plants very scrummy before you can actually see them to become proper salad for your lunch? What if the birds dig up your onions shortly after you planted them in search for a worm, and what if the neighbors cat likes to use your radish bed as a toilet?

Well, there is help on the way to keep the slugs at bay. There is a homoeopathic remedy called Helix tosta, which is made out of toasted snails shells to keep the slugs at bay which I used many times to keep my little plants safe. And it works.

Homoeopathy not only helps to keep the pests in the garden at bay in a very natural and eco-friendly way, it is also good for house plants. Petroleum and Sulphur are some of the homoeopathic remedies used to keep scale insects, aphids, spider mites and white fly off your plants.  But it is the same as with people: The remedy you need to use depends on the symptoms of the plant. I'm not a qualified Homoeopath to treat plants, so very much still learning here myself, but if you want any help call me on 07813 195468. I haven't found anything yet to keep cats from using your beds as a toilet.
