Hay fever
The weather is nice, we are getting into summer, and the sun is shinning, but.....
this means for some people it is HAY FEVER season as well. Lots of people suffer from HAY FEVER
If you suffer from HAY FEVER this doesn't mean that your summer is ruined.
There might be help around the corner.
What you can do about HAY FEVER:
- Have a healthy diet. Eat plenty of fruit and veg. Pulses are a good source of protein.
- Drink plenty of water to replace the fluid-loss through watering eyes and nasal discharge.
- There are nasal douches available to rinse your nose with a saline solution. Half a teaspoon full of salt should be dissolved in a glass of warm water. This will wash away dust and pollen.
Homoeopathy might help you with constitutionally, which might require intense treatment for several years, but to alleviate the acute symptoms there are remedies available.
You can get the remedies either from Holland&Barrett or from Helios Pharmacy.
If symptoms persist you might want to see a qualified Homoeopath or health professional.
I would suggest:
- The best known remedy for acute HAY FEVER symptoms is Allium cepa. It is indicated when your nose and eyes are watering in an endless stream. There might be also a burning sensation and the discharge might be so acrid that it makes your nostrils and upper lip sore. Symptoms are better in open air and worse indoors.
- Sabadilla is another good remedy for HAY FEVER. Symptoms are frequent bouts of sneezing and an itchy nose. There is an urge to swallow and itching of the soft palate as well.
- Euphrasia is a very good remedy when there are a lot of eye symptoms with your HAY FEVER, like blisters, swelling or burning of the eyelids. It may include a loose cough as well which is worse during the day and it is worse in open air.
There are a lot more homoeopathic remedies which can help with HAY FEVER but because Homoeopathy is a very individual approach to health care it might be advisable to see a qualified Homoeopath. Homoeopathy treats the whole person and not a disease.
