The sad news

Caring For The Environment

It takes me 20 minutes to walk into town from the place where I live. On this short journey I came across 7 discarded disposable face masks and 3 discarded pairs of disposable gloves. I even saw one face mask lying in the road, which wasn't a disposable one. Maybe somebody lost it. We are told that we have to protect ourselves from the danger of the virus.

We are afraid of catching it. It is not just the disease which worries us, the pain and discomfort of being ill. It is also the stigma which goes with it, which we are afraid of. We are afraid of being the one with the DISEASE. The one nobody wanted to be in contact with anymore. We have to stay indoors, with our pain and nobody is allowed to see and comfort us. Loneliness can be very painful.

So yes, we protect ourselves. We use all that hand sanitizer which contains high amounts of alcohol. What will this do to our liver, rubbing this onto our skin? Are there any better alternatives? Is alcohol really killing the virus? Most of the time the bottles states that it is an anti- BACTERIAL. So how do we protect ourselves? What is the best way?

I think that we should be aware of the fact that by creating all that extra waste, we put a strain on the environment as well, even if we do dispose of it in a responsible way.

We just started to become more conscious of the danger of climate change. We started to avoid waste and become aware of the problem. We have been quite good at avoiding waste by shopping loose goods. The increase of no waste shops all over the place is proof of this. Now all our efforts seem to be on hold, and with all the extra discarded items the problem seems to become even worse.

We need to get back and focus on the environment again and protect ourselves in a more sustainable way. Don't forget that you only become ill if you are susceptible to a pathogen. A strong immune system goes therefore a long way.

Homoeopathy can be part of this. It strengthens the immune system. There are no side affects. It also is a very sustainable medicine which contains just what you need. No bulk or extra ingredient is needed to trigger a response. There is just the active ingredient coated on a little sugar pill, plain and easy to take. This even works for babies and children. I never saw a child refusing something sweet.

The production of Homoeopathic medicine, the remedies, doesn't put any strain on the environment. The tiny amounts in the remedies mean that the original substance goes a long way. So think strong immune system and make sure that you do not loose your face mask.
