The sweetest thing

 The Sweet Comfort

One thing is for sure: This year we will have a very different Christmas. What will be the same are the sweet treats that come with the time before and at Christmas. I think that the consumption of sweet treats over this festive period will even go up as people treat themselves to more luxurious treats and probably more often than usual to make up for the loss of human contact. Sugar can be a big comforter. It might be less painful not to see your daughter, son,  mother, father or any other relative or friend when having another mince pie (with brandy butter).

I must admit that I have more sweet things at the moment because of the cold. It is pudding for me with every meal. I try to have fresh fruit instead of chocolate or biscuits and sometimes it works. I also noticed that things have to be sweeter for me so that I get the kick out of it. I'm getting conditioned. Recently I read an article about a guy who developed a way to get more sweetness out of the normal sugar to be able to use less and bulk the cake and biscuits out with fiber. That sounds good in some way but I do not think that this is the right way to go. We should get off the sweet taste, not become more accustomed to it.

Homoeopathy is a great way to come off sugar or to help with the ill effects of it. In fact sugar itself is a great Homoeopathic remedy and I used it with great success in my practice. It is so difficult dealing with an addiction to food and which is something you should use all that is available. Please let me know if you want any help with the ill effects or addiction to sugar. Contact me on 07813 195468 but please note that I do only online consultations due to the current situation.

Grapes are sweet but at least it is all naturally occurring sugar. Does that make it any better?
