I hope that you have already started to look after yourself more and I want to encourage you to carry on with it.

Sorry that my last post was a bit delayed but I was on a wonderful seminar with the great Homoeopath Dr. Farokh Master in Stroud at Hawkwood where the School of Homoeopathy is. Apart from the wonderful surroundings and the gorgeous weather we had, it was an amazing seminar. I tried to schedule my post but it didn't work. This just shows that I still have to learn a lot, not only about computers.

Well, at this wonderful seminar I definitely learned a lot more about Homoeopathy. This is life-long learning anyway and I was able to see another side of the very fascinating homoeopathic remedy Stramonium which is made out of the plant Stramonium datura or the Thorn-apple. I wrote about it here in my blog already in my post for Halloween in 2018 but it is so fascinating that I have to tell you more about it.

I always knew that it was the first aid remedy for night terrors in children where indicated. I knew that there is a strong fear of ghosts and some of the keynotes in this remedy are sudden, violence and fear. There is also the fear of entering tunnels, the fear of running water and shiny objects, and the sensation of being abandoned in a world of danger. There is a feeling of isolation and being alone as well as living under impending danger which makes it a good remedy for Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder where indicated.

Well, at the weekend I saw another side of the "Zombie Remedy". Even though there is terror at being alone and a desire for company there is also a great hate for people, almost misanthropy, with a desire to kill. Not everybody is going to kill somebody but the desire is there. 

The violence in Stramonium is a reaction to fear.

I find this remedy and its power very interesting. The marked fear of water reminds me of children who don't want to have a bath or shower and are afraid of having their head under water.
