Mother Nature

Having A Baby

Is there something more fulfilling than having a baby? Is there something more pleasant? Is that not what women were made for by nature, is that not the way you can fulfil your task on this earth as a women? As a woman you are geared out to give birth as reproduction is a task of yours. Well , we could argue about that, and sometimes Mother Nature plays tricks on us. Not every woman wants to have children, particularly with the recent state of our planet. Actually, some women decided against having children because they feel that it is not fair to give them the prospect of a future with wars, pollution, hunger and stress.

The fact remains that it should be easy for a woman to give birth to a baby. It should be a nice happy experience, and for some women it is. I actually know a lady who told me that the birth of her son was the best thing that happened to her, and she was talking about the birth AND the baby, but for some women it is the worst experience they ever had in their lives. Holding a baby in your arms afterwards does not always redeem the bad experience.

As a woman and mother of five I can assure you that I never have experienced a pain like labour pain when I had my first child. Nothing prepared me for that and I did my prenatal courses and took all the advice. My first birth was horrible but nothing compared to what other women told me about theirs with 34 hours of labour and then having a caeserian, with all the pain and complications of that. I had 5 hours and a cut, a very insensitive doctor who stitched me up in a rough way, but I would have jumped out of the window to stop it if I only could have moved. I realised that I had to go through it, there was no stopping midway through. I had no choice. No "I don't want to do that anymore", I had to go through it. I recovered and gave birth to 4 more children, one of the births was even more dramatic, even though I felt helpless and torn and violated, my body wrecked and searched in my most private places.

Some women are not so lucky, and there are problems, and they suffer for years on end about the thing that should have been nice and normal. I was watching a documentary about women having suffered a traumatic birth. Having the first baby is a big step in life anyway but having given birth under dramtic circumstances is even more life changing. One woman said that every time she closed her eyes she was in the labour ward going through her ordeal again.

This doesn't have to be like that. Homoeopathy can help you getting through your bad experience even when it has been a long time ago.
