Catch Your Breath
I'm quite sure that you noticed that I didn't post anything for some weeks before the last Sunday. I did take a well deserved break and went away. I did not realise how much I needed this break till I took it.
It is so easy to get absorbed in all your doings and forget to catch your breath and take a break. You cannot always burn the candle on both ends. Sometimes there is nothing else you can do while you are in the midst of it and quite a lot of mothers will know what I'm talking about. Not only mothers often forget to look after themselves and put children, husband and even pets first, men make the same mistake quite often, even though this is more work driven.
But you have to recharge your batteries and do what your body needs to recover from the stress of work and every day life. You do not need to go away for a long time, even a daytrip to the park can feel like a holiday. Take a picnic and some play equipment and you'll be fine. A day out by the nearest river or at the seaside might calm your nerves and prepare you for the next working day ahead. Just do what you want to do. Just have one day where there is nothing on the schedule and play it by ear. Can't do that? No time off?
